An old betrayal, an indistinct future, and a lust for retribution…
The desert city of Shanti holds many secrets, but Ladramain is only concerned with one of them: what are the A’gulen doing? The band of thieves is somewhere in the city, and he has finally tracked them down. All he has to do now is follow his visions of the future and get close enough to take them down. The only problem is his visions only let him view brief glimpses of what will happen.
With the aid of his partner Jianna, Ladramain fights his way across the city searching for the men who threw his life into chaos. The future will guide him there, but his destiny may not be what he hopes.
Destiny Scrolls: Retribution adds new depth to the expanding world of Arkeadion and explores some of the history leading up to the events of book one. This is a stand-alone story meant to be read before or after Path of the Warrior. Ladramain’s story line will shed light on many of the small but important events of the Destiny Scrolls world.

Light, truth, and knowledge might not be enough...
Arkeadion seems peaceful, but under the surface a tempest is brewing. Murdock, the king, took the Capitol from the judges thirty-three years ago, and now his reign seems to have nearly wiped out all magic bearers from the citizenry. He is leading Arkeadion towards the future, a future of his own design.
A resistance, called the Teradon, has grown up around an ideal; one espoused by the Church of Light and connected to a document known as the Prophecy. It tells of Arkeadion's fall from grace and its only possibility of salvation. The Warrior.
Dregan has never heard of the Prophecy or the resistance. He doesn't believe in magic either. An orphan, he lives with his adoptive parents on a small farm in Elder Valley. The only strange thing about him is a distinct, intricate birthmark on the front of his right shoulder, until he finds the dagger. Suddenly, his quiet life gets ripped apart. The King sends a tracker after him and a stranger from the resistance becomes his only ally. With newly manifested powers, pursuit by the law, and loved ones in danger, Dregan's life will never be the same.
Things are changing quickly in Arkeadion. Some changes are bigger than anyone realizes.
Destiny Scrolls: Path of the Warrior is the first book in a series of five fantasy adventure novels. Magic permeates the realm of the novel, but the actual magic system is based on real world science not revealed in the story line. This fantasy fiction series unfolds for the reader at almost the same rate as the mysteries in the story unfold for the main character. The reader learns as the character does. If you are a fan of young adult fantasy, such as Eragon, then this book deserves a look.
Although some mild violence is contained in Destiny Scrolls: Path of the Warrior, the intensity is dialed back and tries to follow a more religious tone that will become more apparent with future installments of the series. It could indeed be classified as a religious fantasy because of the symbolism and metaphorical undertones that hint at Christian scripture. However, the series is still meant to appeal to a broad range of fantasy fiction readers and fit in with most other modern fantasy books. Any fan of fantasy adventure novels will find something to like about Destiny Scrolls.

Where do you turn when nothing you do is enough…
Arkeadion is falling apart. With the Storm Wall gone, everything that once seemed normal has been shattered to dust. As never before encountered enemies batter the kingdom’s borders, Murdock struggles to gain an advantage in an inevitable war. The king’s only hope is to acquire the assets he needs in time to face the new threat.
Sorra’s life also hangs in the balance as Dregan and the others arrive at the Western Temple of Light. With a new montei, Dregan throws himself into magical training that brings up questions about the true nature of his own powers. He pushes himself to unlock both the mysteries of the first Destiny Scroll and of the very core of his being. How can he protect the ones he loves if he can’t control or understand his abilities?
The second installment in the Destiny Scrolls archive pushes characters to their limits. Betrayals abound alongside twists that may separate loved ones forever. The very kingdom of Arkeadion itself is on the edge of ground shattering discoveries.
If you enjoyed Path of the Warrior then you will love the non-stop action of Quest for Power.

Characters Book 1
Albinon was one of the four Arkeadion judges at the time of the Battle at the Valley of the Peaks. He was judge for the province of Bacqour. His powers are unknown.
Ashton mainly goes by the name Ash. He is a recruiter and soldier for the Teradon with the power to manipulate sound. His specialty is hand to hand combat and swordplay. Unlike most other magic bearers, his powers are always assailing him with information. When he does not direct his ability to his own will, it reverts into a standby mode focused on greatly enhanced hearing. Ash’s parents died when he was in his early teens, which left him the protector of his little sister, Payshia. He is a strategist rivaled by few others.
Baltan is a hardened soldier of the Teradon. He has greater than average strength but displays no overt magical tendencies. He is a devout member of the Followers of the Warrior.
Bradstund is Murdock’s servant and confidante. He has no known magical abilities.
Chimera is the Tracker’s horse. She can reduce friction and air drag for herself and her rider, allowing her to move blindingly fast.
Cloud is Ash’s horse. She has no known abilities.
Cohen is Dregan’s adoptive father, husband to Elizabeth, and low-ranking member of the Teradon. He has no known magical abilities.
Dregan is the main character of the story and the Warrior from Eon’s prophecy. He has power over his body’s physical motion and over the passage of time. His specialty is archery; though, magic grants him potential for much more in the future. Dregan is new to the world of magic and is still trying to figure out the land that he thought he knew. His magic did not manifest fully until he found the dagger, and he is having trouble using his abilities on command. The symbol on his front right shoulder designates him as the Warrior.
Eldon was Dregan’s birth father; he died shortly after Dregan’s birth while trying to evade the Capitol. His hunting skills were legendary, as were his skills with any kind of blade, especially throwing knives. He had, to a lesser degree, a similar power to Dregan; magic granted him expert control over his own body and its physical motion.
Elizabeth is Dregan’s adoptive mother and wife to Cohen. She is also Saraphine’s cousin. Although she continually downplays her magical abilities, she is a gifted healer, able to work wonders with herbs and surgical remedies. She also has the gift of presence which attracts others to her and grants them a mood lift as they talk with her.
Eon wrote the Prophecy about the Warrior and has some influence on the Scrolls of Destiny; though, what kind of influence is not yet known. His origins and powers remain a mystery.
Gideon was one of the Teradon soldiers ferrying Payshia across Arkeadion. He was killed by Kingmen while trying to protect Payshia. He had no known powers.
Hestian is the commander of Murdock’s armies and a high-ranking advisor to the King. His powers are unknown.
Juthro was one of the four Arkeadion judges at the time of the Battle of the Valley of the Peaks. He was judge for the province of Arnen. His powers are unknown.
Loch gave Dregan the original version of the Prophecy, the one with the symbol matching Dregan’s birth mark. His power gives him the ability to see the future in a limited light. He saw in advance what Dregan, who he knew was the Warrior, would need in order to be pushed onto the path of destiny and away from a simple life in Greidon. Loch answered the most important questions that Dregan had and armed him with just enough knowledge to one day figure out his connection to the scroll. His death was the most important factor in sending Dregan on the right path; without it, the boy would not have stumbled upon his magical abilities, nor would he have killed the blond soldier and become an outlaw in need of assistance from Ash. Loch was also Windstalker’s original owner and placed the horse outside Greenside’s tavern with just the supplies Dregan would need while on the run. One last tidbit of information to peak interest—the savvy reader can find similar descriptions between Loch and the grey clad soldier from chapter one. Both had striking grey eyes, black hair, and a limp.
Lord Bayhelm is the governor of Greidon. He has no known powers.
Mika is Baltan’s nephew. His death had a profound effect on Dregan that is still yet to be fully seen. He had no known powers.
Mitak was the judge for Carnen at the time of the Battle at the Valley of the Peaks. He convinced the other judges to march on the rebellion in the Valley of the Peaks and then betrayed them to Murdock. His powers are unknown.
Murdock is the King of Arkeadion and usurper of the judges. He believes that he is the best person to rule the kingdom and has his own version of the Wisdom Sphere that represents his own insight on the world. His plans for Payshia have not yet been revealed, but she will play an important role in his vision for the future. Murdock is strict and can be ruthless, but he does not kill without conscience. Warfare is his specialty. He has power over fire and the different manifestations of plasma flame.
Namarol is a general in the Capitol’s military. He was the first to officially confirm the disappearance of the Storm Wall. His powers are unknown.
Payshia is Ash’s sister and an unhappy member of the Teradon. Her power acts similarly to her brother’s in that it is always affecting her to some degree. Payshia has not yet been able to control her power in any way even with extensive training. Major accidents occurred during her training where her ability caused either harm or death to another person; as a result, she is terrified of her power. It is all she can manage just to keep the magic locked inside of her. Although she is adept at hand to hand combat, her specialty is academia. She has begun to develop feelings for Dregan.
Saraphine was Dregan’s birth mother; she died shortly after his birth while trying to evade the Capitol with Eldon. She was a legendary healer who manipulated the energies within a person in order to speed the healing process.
Sebastian is the leader of the Teradon.
Selenia was the judge for the province of Seiquia at the time of the Battle at the Valley of the Peaks. Her powers are unknown.
Shadow is Dregan’s wolf companion. She is gifted with near human intelligence and a direct mental link to Dregan’s mind. The wolf also has the power of veil which allows her to blend into the shadows so completely as to become invisible. She is ferocious but wholly devoted to her master and shows kindness to those she trusts.
Sorra has quickly come to be one of Dregan’s close friends and the object of his heart. She has the power over light, which gives her a diverse bag of tricks similar to Ash. Sorra is a high-ranking member of the Teradon and Ash’s longtime friend. Her specialty is stealth and intelligence gathering, but she is well versed in most weapons. Her weapon of choice is a circular blade that has a handle cutting across its diameter; it can be used as one weapon or split into two semicircular blades, one for each hand.
Teegan is a rebel soldier who came to help rescue Payshia. His powers are unknown. He has developed a deep dislike towards Dregan.
The Gatekeeper forced Dregan to kill him in order for the doorway to the first Destiny Scroll to open. He was not in fact a being of flesh and blood but merely an avatar for the actual person’s consciousness. His origins are unknown as of yet. His powers are also unknown.
The Tracker was sent by the King to find and capture the outlaws who broke prisoners out of the Greidon prison. He almost always works alone with his gifted horse, Chimera. His magical ability allows him to latch on to the life energies of his targets; he will never lose the trail unless he runs out of charged natural material that has a connection to his prey. His prominent features are his white skin, white hair, and red eyes that designate him as an albino. Along with his superior tracking abilities, he is an expert knife thrower.
Torok is a minion of the King; he trains soldiers for battle, among other, less seemly, duties. Nothing more is known at present.
Windstalker was left outside Greenside’s tavern for Dregan to find and take once Loch was dead. The horse is extremely smart and was well trained by the person Loch purchased him from. He can navigate most trails on his own, follow the simplest of riding commands, and intuitively knows who his current rider is destined to be. Magic grants him extra stamina and strength along with his intellect.
